The Collaborative e-Learning in Life Sciences (CeLLS) Project is a collaboration between Scottish Colleges Biotechnology Consortium (Adam Smith, Bell, Dundee, Forth Valley and James Watt Colleges) two universities (Napier University and the University of Dundee), one government agency (Scottish Qualifications Authority) and a not-for-profit commercial company (Interactive University Ltd). These learning materials were developed by the CeLLS Project supported by the Scottish Funding Council for Further and Higher Education (http://www.sfc.ac.uk/) as one of six projects from the £6 Million e-Learning Transformation Programme. The programme is managed on behalf of the funding council by the Joint Information Systems Committee (http://www.jisc.ac.uk/).
The educational materials were authored and reviewed by Project and Faculty staff from Academic partners. The specification for online development was a collaboration between Academic Authors and Learning Developers. The final content packages were published by Interactive University.
Thanks are due to all members of consortium teams who planned and created these materials, and to the many colleagues who reviewed the content.
