This resource features a series of video clips taken in Somie, a village in Cameroon, at approximately one hour intervals throughout the period 6am-7pm of Wednesday 21 April 1999. The clips were taken in three locations: the central village square; a crossroads near the village dispensary; and outside the ethnographer's house in a residential part of the village. Clips may be viewed individually or simultaneously: for example, students can simultaneously view the 6am clips from all three locations, or all the clips from one particular location, for comparative purposes. Introductory text is provided, as are ideas for activities based around the clips, and questions to generate discussion.
