| Title: | The Virtual Rocky Shore |
| Author: | Richard Stafford; Adam Hart; Anne Goodenough; Julia Newberry; Christina Catlin-Groves; University of Gloucestershire |
| Description: | The Virtual Rocky Shore (VRS) is an interactive computer simulation allowing the design of manipulative experiments as would be conducted on a real rocky shore. The companion website explains experimental design from the basics, through to conducting an experiment using the simulation. Further guidance on the statistical analysis (using SPSS and R) is given, along with how to write up the experiment as if it was a real scientific paper. The full website is provided here, with an external link to the download for the VRS - written in Java and provided with source code (in the unzipped JAR file) under the GNU license. |
